The Training Ground – Havelock Park
Havelock Park is located in Pearcedale, Victoria, approximately 55 km from Melbourne CBD. Its proximity to the largest and newest training complex at Cranbourne (10 minutes) provides easy access to the facilities offered at Cranbourne such as swimming pool, barrier trials.
Havelock Park is also within an hour’s drive to Flemington, Caulfield, Moonee Valley, and Sandown, the four metropolitan racetracks in Melbourne.
The Trainer – Douglas Harrison
The Harrison Family have been synonymous with Victorian Racing for the past 40 years. Douglas’ father, Tom Harrison, began the training dynasty in the 1960s.
Douglas started working for his father when he was 10 years old. After serving a sixteen-year apprenticeship, Douglas took out his own trainer licence twenty years ago. He has trained more than 1,000 winners including several Group races.
